What do YOU want for Christmas?
Yep, that's all I really want. Just a knee length denim skirt. I would prefer one in a dark wash without all the funky seams like the one pictured above. Just a nice, tailored, dark denim skirt. I have one now, but the fit is horrible. It sits too low on my waist & I have to be on patrol the whole time I wear it, if you get my meaning. So I've been looking around at several different stores & I've looked online. Can't find a single one I like. I'm kind of tall (about 5' 10") so all of the knee length skirts are not knee length on me. I'm sure not looking for a mini style. And a long skirt would be ok, too - if it was long enough. I'm way NOT into mid-calf hem styling, thank you very much.
Actually, I've seen lots of denim skirts out there that I really like. The problem is, they are skirts that other ladies are wearing. Is it ok to ask them where they got their skirt? Seems like a socially awkward situation to me. However, I REALLY want a new denim skirt for Christmas!
What's on your list?

Hi Mary Ann! Have you tried Christopher & Banks? They have nice denim skirts and they range from knee length to longer.
I don't see anything wrong with asking someone where they got their skirt.

I agree with Rebecca--ask others where they got theirs! I do that all the time when I see a friend wearing something I like. :) And have you seen this store? www.newcreationapparel.com
They have a whole category of denim skirts, some of which are very cute (others not so much :)). Pretty reasonable prices, too. My SIL got a couple maternity skirts from them recently and has been very happy with them. Rebecca's suggestion of Christopher & Banks is a good one also; I've seen some really nice skirts there before. Hope you find something you really love! Also, I hope you get answers to your health concerns soon too--and start feeling better quickly!!! :)
P.S. I think most of the skirts at the link I posted are on the longer side--and I agree with you on not liking the mid-calf style much. I really prefer something around ankle length; it just seems like it looks better on me, anyway!
P.S. 2--Sorry for all the comments, LOL, but I just today received a catalog from Boden (www.bodenusa.com) and noticed that they have two cute knee-length denim skirts, the Swishy Skirt and the Inverted Pleat Skirt (and they come in 2 lengths, so that might help since you're tall. :) They also have a longer denim skirt. They're on the pricey side ($68-78), but if you sign up for their emails they will often send coupon codes or sale alerts...just thought I'd mention it. :) Now I'll stop hogging the comments! :D
Thanks for your thoughts, girls! I'll let you know if I find the Perfect Denim Skirt!
I know exactly what you mean - a perfect fit, easy to wear, goes with everything, denim skirt would be great. Of course, I'd like a similar fitting black skirt too.
Have you looked at Land's End or LL bean?
I got my jean skirt at land's end
I fashionable now because it is faded from wear!
